Changes: We have reorganized paragraph (a) of new §303.34
(proposed §303.33(a)) as follows: Paragraph (a)(1) defines
service coordination services; paragraph (a)(2) provides that each infant or toddler with a disability and the
child’s family must be provided a service coordinator and
describes the responsibilities of the service coordinator; and paragraph (a)(3) describes the activities involved in service coordination. Section 303.34(b) (proposed
§303.33(b)) has been revised to indicate in §303.34(b)(1)
that service coordination services include assisting parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities in obtaining access to needed early intervention services and other services identified in the IFSP. Section 303.34(b) (2) has been added to indicate that service coordination services include coordinating the provision of early intervention services and other services (such as educational, social, and medical services that are not provided for diagnostic or evaluative purposes) that the child needs or is being provided. We have modified
